Global warming picture

What is global Warming

Global warming
Global warming is the increase in the average measured temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-twentieth century, and its projected continuation.
The average global air temperature near the Earth's surface increased 0.74
± 0.18 °C (1.33 ± 0.32 °F) during the hundred years ending in 2005. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concludes "most of the observed increase in globally averaged temperatures since the mid-twentieth century is very likely due to the observed increase in anthropogenic (man-made) greenhouse gas concentrations" via an enhanced greenhouse effect. Natural phenomena such as solar variation combined with volcanoes probably had a small warming effect from pre-industrial times to 1950 and a small cooling effect from 1950 onward.
These basic conclusions have been endorsed by at least thirty scientific societies and academies o science including all of the national academies of science of the major industrialized countries. While individual scientists have voiced disagreement with some findings of the IPCC, the overwhelming majority of scientists working on climate change agree with the IPCC's main conclusions.
Climate model projections summarized by the IPCC indicate that average global surface temperature will likely rise a further 1.1 to 6.4 °C (2.0 to 11.5 °F) during the twenty-first century. This range of values results from the use of differing scenarios of future greenhouse gas emissions as well as models with differing climate sensitivity. Although most studies focus on the period up to 2100, warming and sea level rise are expected to continue for more than a thousand years even if greenhouse gas levels are stabilized. The delay in reaching equilibrium is a result of the large heat capacity of the oceans.
Increasing global temperature is expected to cause sea level to rise, an increase in the intensity of extreme weather events, and significant changes to the amount and pattern of precipitation. Other expected effects of global warming include changes in agricultural yields, modifications of trade routes, glacier retreat, species extinctions and increases in the ranges of disease vectors
.
Remaining scientific
uncertainties include the amount of warming expected in the future, and how warming and related changes will vary from region to region around the globe. Most nationa governments have signed and ratified the Kyoto Protocol aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, but there is ongoing political and public debate worldwide regarding what, if any, action should be taken to reduce or reverse future warming or to adapt to its expected consequences.

ALL ABOUT MY LOGO

First, i wan to introduce myself to all who viewing my blog... i m LOO HOE HEY from FCM... my ID is 1081105714.. My theme for the logo is global warming.. I m using a tree and divide it to two part to represent two situation, one is represent global warming and another one is represent non global warming... at the left site, we can see a tree without leave.. that represent when global warming happen, it can make a tree losing their leave and same whit human we also will losing somthing that is important for us, like health, beautiful environment and others... i using black colour for the tree because i wan to bring out a feel that is very sorrowful... The colour of the background i use 3 colours that is yellow, orange and black... When this three colour mix together, we can feel that just like a hell and no hope... what i wan to say is, if global warming keep going on, we are no HOPE... At the other site, i draw a tree that is full of green leave... That representing if we are protecting our world, and stop the global warming, we can have a beatiful environment... The background of right site i m using three colours also, that is green, blue and a little bit of white... This three colours can bring out very happiness and peace feeling, and the world is full of hope... Finally, the reason i making this logo is to remind all of the human, we are still have chance to make a choice... If you wan to live at a beautiful environment (right site of my logo), please stop doing anything that can cause global warming... Thank you...

last step

Finally, my logo is done... at the last i add a circle background for it and it is representing something and i will explain it on "all of my logo".... Thank you...

my sketching

This is my sketching for my logo... And i will explain my idea on "all about my logo"...

3rd step

After drawing tree, i start to colour it... i using gradient to control what colour that i wan...

second step

I start to add some leave to the tree. Fisrt, i draw a leave with my references, then i duplicate it. And before that i already finding some references for the leave at internet.

1st step of my symbol

Draw out the trunk of the tree with pen tool.
